This is a wooden stake for slaying vampires. The visual pun was Blake's, I believe.

In order to draw this, I went down to my kitchen with a box of charcoal (the most stake-like thing I could easily find), set it up, and took a picture. I was being paid by the hour for these, so I took the quick (not the artistic integrity) route -- I cut out the pieces of the picture and traced them. I think I still have a little paper fork floating around my art room.

Just for fun, here's the first version I did of the stake. AJ rejected it because it looked too much like a carrot.
